This presentation will highlight procedures for administering sensory screenings and collecting pertinent health data. The full day is required for first-year parent educators. Participants need to bring a pen light.

Strategies for Finding and Screening Infants and Toddlers

Growing partnerships with the community and families while optimizing opportunities to help districts reach screening quotas. There will be information for any size district. Sample letters and forms will be available. Come find out how to find the children you need, and work with your community’s resources to get those screenings.

Parents as Teachers national office

During this presentation you will hear from national office staff and local school district personnel on how to achieve successful model implementation of Parents as Teachers. Chosen as one of the select few evidence-based home visitation models in the Maternal and Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation program, Parents as Teachers is responding to the call for increased accountability from funders and community stakeholders. This presentation will help local programs in their planning for model compliance by 2014.
