Health, Hearing and Vision Screening

This presentation will highlight procedures for administering sensory screenings and collecting pertinent health data. The full day is required for first-year parent educators. Participants need to bring a pen light.

Nutrition and Fitness for the Young Child

Missouri State Trainers
Parents face challenges in providing healthy foods and encouraging physical development for their young children. By helping parents establish healthy habits early on, we can play a role in addressing the rising rates of obesity and poor physical fitness later in life. Participants will become familiar with nutrition information and curriculum materials to use in home visits and group meetings.

Neurotoxins: Their Effects on Development, Learning and Behavior
